Cheetah - 2009-06-18

I'm still sorting through my photo collection in Lightroom and I came across this which I took at Fota Wildlife Park Co Cork a few years back, its been over two years since I last visited Fota and this photo reminded me why I need to go back to it....it beats the hell out of Dublin zoo :)

  • Lovely shot Barry. Fota is on my list of places to visit.

  • I was at Fota last weekend but the chain-link fence and wooden barrier meant it wasn't really possible to get a shot without the fence being obvious. This one is great.

They now do a cheetah run thing at 4pm where the cheetahs chase a piece of meat hauled along by an overhead wire... although I wasn't sure how appropriate it was (for the little kiddies) to have a dead rabbit on the end of the wire. Looked a little gruesome.
