This past June myself and my wife decided its about time we traveled around Ireland, previously when we got married in 2009 we had thrown around the idea of perhaps using one week of our honeymoon to travel around Ireland however we went to the states instead as it was late September. So this year we decided we'd during July that we'd like to see the Ireland but do it on a budget, so we packed a tent and traveled from Kerry to Cong in Co Mayo over a week.

The whole trip really made us appreciate Ireland so much and we now know that Ireland really has some fantastic sights to see which so many people never see because they decided to go to Spain or France. We also met so many people from France, Germany etc...surely they can't all be wrong about Ireland being a beautiful country and worth traveling around? Overall a very eye opening experience which I'd recommend to all.

Callan Co Kilkenny recently held the first Abhainn Ri Festival, the festival was a week long event with loads of events throughout the town including a very colorful parade.

There's only one thing a Stormtrooper can do after he's helped destroy a rebel base...relax and drink some beers infront of the fiary runs of the base :)

We've had much nicer weather in more recent weeks so I paid another visit to Woodstock Garden's, Inistioge, Co Kilkenny. Its a fantastic place to visit and used to be a massive estate, the house was sadly burnt down but all the gardens still remain.

Salt Hill Galway

Yes its been ages since I've uploaded anything to the photoblog so I'm going to try start updating again.
I was up in Salt Hill Galway over the weekend and I always wanted to get a picture of the diving boards, unfortunately this is far from the photo I wanted and had in mind, however I coudn't get the one I wanted as there was a good few people in and out diving....oh well perhaps I'll get the photo on my next visit.

No he's not some sort of superhero...although perhaps that could be his other job, he is however one of the many street traders in Galway City around Shop Street. I'm disappointed I didn't pick up a nice new Trilby for myself.Shot during the Galway Photowalk.

Irish Blog Awards 2010

On Saturday I attended the Irish Blog Awards 2010 in the Radisson Blu in Galway, before the event there was a photowalk around Galway arranged by the helpful chaps over at photowalk.ie then it was off to the awards for a night full of good craic, drink and even abit of food.I'd like to say congrats to everyone who won on the night, while I didn't make the finalist list I did make the two nomination lists which to be honest I was happy withYou can see the the winners over at awards.ie and my selection of photos from the night over at pix.ie.

I've been an Apple mac user since I purchased my MacBook in Las Vegas back in May 2007, I've always loved the look and feel of Apple Stores I've visited throughout the world including this one I visited in San Francisco which is a two level store build right over the subway entrance.Perhaps some day soon Dublin might be lucky enough to get one just like it.....or atleast we can hope.
